Project “Being Different with Friedhelm” – A daycare box for diversity, feelings and community
"We are different, tall and short – that's exactly how community should be!"
The project "Being Different with Friedhelm" accompanies children on a sensitive journey of discovery about diversity, feelings and self-esteem.
Friedhelm, the little bat, feels different from the others and is looking for a place where he can belong without having to pretend. Together with Feodora and Gino, the children experience that everyone can be who they are – and that's exactly what makes community vibrant and special.
Through loving stories, music, conversation prompts and creative activities, children discover that being different is not a bad thing, but something valuable.
What makes this project special?
Children learn to perceive differences, express feelings, and interact with each other empathetically. They experience that every person has their own strengths, preferences, and unique characteristics. Friedhelm becomes a familiar companion figure who shows that you don't have to be like everyone else to belong.
Through playful conversation starters, creative craft ideas and joint activities, a project week full of closeness, understanding and self-confidence is created.
